BOOKING & CONTRACTS

  • We can’t hold a date without a signed contract and paid 50% retainer. The sooner you know your date, the better. The team books up to 12 months out, and dates go quickly. Once you have secured a venue and date, you should consider booking your beauty team. Keep in mind, we also do require a trial prior to your wedding date.

  • Absolutely! If you prefer to do a makeup trial before booking, we suggest scheduling one as soon as you’re ready, especially since we do not hold dates without a signed contract and a paid 50% retainer. We book clients on a first signed contract basis. However, if another bride is interested in booking your date before your trial happens, we will notify you of this and give you 24hrs to make a decision and sign a contract. After 24hrs, we will release the date for a contract to be signed and a retainer to be paid by any interested party.

  • It is not necessary to meet prior to signing a contract; we can do everything via phone and email. But if you feel more comfortable meeting in person, we will be happy to accommodate.

  • Upon signing your contract, we guarantee that an artist will be at your wedding. If there is an extreme emergency, we will send another member of the Fresh Face Beauty team to perform the services. This hasn’t been an issue thus far, and we will try our absolute hardest to keep it that way.

  • Your retainer is 50% of the total contracted services. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding day/ event.

  • No. Your retainer is non-refundable in the event you decide to cancel.

  • All services are paid via an online invoice which accepts all major debit/ credit cards or bank transfers

  • A 6 service maximum per hired artist is in place to keep total service time down and early morning start times limited. If you are booking more than 6 services, an additional artist/s will be required to fulfill these needs and your day of wedding timeline. A $100 fee per additional hired artist will be added for parties over 6 or for a requested shorter services timeframe. This additional artist does have a required booking minimum of 4 services (or equal monetary value) to be hired.

  • Overtime charges come into effect when the artist is not done with your bridal party at the contracted “Service End Time” through no fault to the artist or the amount of time scheduled for them. We allot plenty of time for them to do your party. These charges will be incurred if the end time is exceeded at the fault of the client &/or their guests. For example, if people aren’t ready when our team gets there, if there isn’t a steady flow of people ready to have their makeup done, or if additional people or services are added on the day of. Since there are instances where our artists need to do another wedding/event on the same day, running late may result in them being late to another wedding/event.

  • If someone backs out of services that you have already paid a retainer on, we're not able to refund the retainer portion. You will still be responsible to pay the full balance due from your signed contract. If someone backs out of services, ask a friend, family member, or wedding guest to take their spot.

  • We will send you an invoice to pay online in one total sum (divided into two installments- 50% retainer and final payment due 14 days before the event). We also can include tips/gratuity for your artist if you wish.

  • We are a luxury bridal makeup team with over 15 years of wedding experience and hundreds of wedding clients under our belt. We take our job seriously! We will never cancel on you, ghost you, or take your money and disappear. Sadly, the beauty industry has been overrun with fly-by-night makeup artists who cancel on brides at the last minute. We put your beauty and safety first, following all State and CDC guidelines. We're ethical, and run our business with the utmost integrity so you can enjoy one of the happiest days of your life.

  • We do offer a bridal package for brides only. No problem. However, it still requires a minimum monetary amount for us to travel on-location. You can download our services and pricing guide HERE.

  • Give us a shout if you need to make any changes. We try our hardest to accommodate you, but if details change close to the wedding date, we can’t always guarantee flexibility with our artists schedules. Any changes made within 30 days of the wedding date are not eligible for any refunds. Once a contract is signed and your 50% retainer is paid, you can only add on services if it is possible. You can not take away services thus reducing the monetary value of your contract.

  • A trial usually consists of trying one desired look or style, and a variation of that look with different lipstick colors or enhancements. If a completely different style/look is desired beyond that, we suggest booking another trial. We do not require a trial before signing a contract, but we do strongly recommend them. A trial is required to happen at some point before your wedding day.

  • Trials can be done either before or after finalizing a wedding booking with 50% retainer and signing your contract. A trial is required to happen at some point prior to your wedding day though. Pro Tip: We can schedule you for a trial ASAP and then add on a second trial closer to your wedding date in case you want to make any last-minute changes or adjustments if you would prefer.

We book clients on a first signed contract/retainer paid basis. However, if another bride is interested in booking your date before your trial happens, we will notify you of this and give you 24hrs to make a decision and sign a contract. • We suggest you bring a picture of your dress/wedding outfit (if you have already found one), 3-4 photos of makeup styles that inspire you (check out our Bridal Makeup Inspiration Gallery), and possibly makeup looks you don’t like. If you would like, you can also bring your daily makeup bag of colors and products so that we may see the colors and textures you’re used to. If you have a favorite lipstick or one that you have selected to wear on your wedding day, please bring it so we can try it out with the look we have created. Please let us know ASAP of any allergies or sensitivities to products so we can proceed with caution.

  • Of course! However, we ask you to bring no more than two people with you to your on location. It's always nice to get the opinion of friends and family on your look, but it can be overwhelming when there are too many people in the room.

*Please note: If your trial is being done at our Fresh Face Beauty studio, there is no additional room or seating available for guests.

  • While we love kids, they can be distracting during the limited time we have together. We ask that you enjoy this time for yourself and find a sitter for your precious little ones. If your trial is being done on location, please also make sure all fur babies (dogs etc.) are kept in another room as to not contaminate set out products or cause any distractions during our time together.

  • If you would like to purchase your decided upon lip color from your trial, let us know and we will get you the brand and shade name so you can purchase it for yourself to have for touch ups on your wedding day.

  • We request that you give us at least a 48 hour notice when canceling. Cancellations within 48hrs of your scheduled appointment will result in keeping your 50% retainer. All paid retainers are non-refundable.

COVID-19

  • Infection Control, AKA, sanitation is our #1 priority at Fresh Face Beauty! You'll see our team use freshly cleaned brushes and new disposables during each service. We wash our hands, use sanitizer between/before clients, and keep our metal tools clean with alcohol spray. We never double-dip. Your safety is always our priority, even before Covid-19 changed our lives. With Covid-19, we have added even more additional infection control protocols to our services.

  • Sanitation, or as we call it in the beauty industry, "infection control", is our #1 priority! We believe that being vaccinated is part of basic infection control when working with the public. We are fully vaccinated and follow CDC, State, and local health guidelines.

  • As part of our infection control guidelines, we will wear a mask at all times during your service. We know that you have loved ones who could be at high risk and your health and safety is our top priority. At no time during the service will we remove our masks. You won't be required to wear a mask during your makeup services as we need access to your full face and skin.

  • As part of our infection control guidelines, we will need access to a room with plenty of room to spread out. We will also need to have access to a sink with warm water. This helps to reduce risk and will hopefully keep everyone safe and healthy. We can discuss options and what that looks like closer to your date.

  • As part of our infection control guidelines, we never double dip into our products. If you feel more comfortable using your own products, we understand and can accommodate you. Also, if you have any specific allergies or product sensitivities, using your makeup might be the best option to keep you safe and healthy.

  • If we're not able to perform services due to the pandemic, your contract lays out specific procedures for rescheduling your wedding date. The contract protects you and our team. Please contact for more detailed info.

  • If an artist gets sick with Covid-19 and can't perform your services, we will send another artist in their place.

  • If someone tests positive from your bridal party, we will refuse services for that person. You're able to substitute another person for makeup in their place if you have the option. There will be no refunds for attendants who don't get services, per your signed contract.

  • As part of our infection control guidelines here at Fresh Face Beauty, we require everyone who receives services from our team to be vaccinated and/or have a current negative Covid-19 test.

  • Please let us know as soon as possible so we can put safety protocols in place and do additional testing. We will not knowingly perform services on anyone infected, but also ask that everyone receiving services would disclose if they test positive within 14 days after services.

  • To practice good infection control, and for the safety of your wedding party, we may need additional time to do cleaning between clients. We require each workspace to be sanitary, which can add 5-10 minutes to each service for peace of mind. But don’t worry, we will help you navigate the timeline for a stress-free event.

DESTINATION WEDDINGS

  • Yes, we travel and have passports! Please contact us for more detailed information and to receive a custom quote.

  • Each wedding is different. We will be happy to give you a custom quote once we know all of your details. For all destination weddings, due to safety concerns, we will require an in-person/zoom meeting and a makeup trial prior to departing for your wedding/ event.

  • Of course! We work with a lot of clients from outside of the Los Angeles area and even abroad. Everything can easily be done via email, phone, or Zoom and FaceTime.

PRODUCTS & LOOKS

  • We carry a variety of professional and high-end luxury brands. All of the products in our kit are hypo-allergenic and are suitable for sensitive skin. Have an allergy? Please let us know ASAP.

  • Owner Candace Miller is a Licensed Esthetician and has been a professional makeup artist since 2008 (but her love of all things beauty began long before that!) Her team is hand-selected for the highest quality of talent and professionalism.

  • All of our artists are professionally trained and experienced makeup artists. All artists on our team have been handpicked by Owner Candace Miller personally.

  • Absolutely! All of our makeup artists are professionally trained and have a makeup kit that can be used on every and any skin tone. We take this very seriously. We will never tell you to bring your own foundation (unless you have a specific allergy). We’ve got you covered!

  • Airbrush makeup comes in the form of a very thin, liquid-like foundation. Airbrush foundation is a special foundation that is highly colorized & pigmented and is sprayed directly onto your skin using an airbrush pen and compressor. When done correctly, this is a beautiful application technique for special events where you need to look flawless. Negative reviews of airbrush makeup are usually because someone had airbrush makeup done incorrectly. When done incorrectly, airbrush makeup looks heavy, cakey, and can easily separate. When done correctly, it looks like a second skin that lasts for hours.

  • The simple answer is yes. However, blemishes are often raised skin, and raised skin texture can still be noticeable even with coverage. We can take out the redness and discoloration, but we can’t really “flatten” or change the texture of the skin and this might be visible.

  • We can’t get rid of wrinkles, but we do a luxury skin prep service for all clients. This skin prep system helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pores, and dehydration in the skin. It's made for sensitive skin and works for all skin types. We'll also help you choose makeup colors and textures to keep you looking fresh and radiant. Ageless beauty is our specialty.

  • Yes! Absolutely. We are experts at tattoo coverage and waterproofing your tattoo coverage. If you have a tattoo that needs to be covered, please email us a couple of photos of the tattoo you would like to cover along with dimensions and place on the body where it is located so we can quote accordingly. Please note that proper tattoo coverage can take a lot of time, especially if the area you want to be covered is large and in difficult location. This service should be planned and organized in advance, and should not be assumed as a quick touch up the day of your event. This also includes body scars or sunburns/ suntan lines.

  • Strip lashes are included in all makeup services. Individual lashes are an upgrade and additional cost of $20 per application.

  • Strip lashes are complimentary and included in the price for all services. If you prefer not to wear lashes, that is totally cool, but the service price is the same.

  • Using a makeup remover or cleansing oil, apply a generous amount to a cotton pad and work in a downward motion. Rinse. Do not tug or pull your lashes.

  • No. We respectfully ask that no touches or uses anything in our kit due to infection control protocols and for liability reasons. Thank you for understanding.

  • We suggest that everyone use waterproof mascara in black. We will bring mascara with us for use the day of the wedding, but if you or a guest has a preferred mascara they would like to use, please bring it along and let us know.

  • Using the mascara wand right out of the tube always looks better! Disposable applicators are not our favorite, but it's not proper infection control to share mascaras. To be 100% sanitary, we create our mascara looks using disposable wand applicators. For the ultimate best look, anyone receiving services can bring/ purchase their favorite mascara in waterproof black and have a new tube for us to use on your wedding day, but it is not required.

  • We only use waterproof mascara. However, since mascara always looks best fresh out of the tube, we encourage you to bring a new tube of your favorite waterproof mascara so we can apply straight from the tube. If not, no worries! We will always bring waterproof mascara and use disposable mascara wands to swipe on mascara. We never "double dip" our mascara wands or use the packaged mascara wand on multiple clients for sanitary purposes.

  • We can do only your eye makeup to achieve the look you want during your service, but we don't offer partial face rates. The attendant rate would still apply to anyone getting an “eyes only” makeup service.

  • Absolutely! The Men’s Grooming service helps to reduce redness, cover blemishes, and take down shine to give a camera ready complexion. Find our men’s grooming rates on our Wedding Service & Pricing Guide.

  • Oh no! We hate to hear that. Honesty is the best policy. If at any time you’re unhappy with your trial or makeup look, speak up! It won’t hurt our feelings. We will work out a solution to find a look you love. This is your wedding day, we want you to love it!

  • If you would like to purchase your decided upon lip color from your trial, let us know and we will get you the brand and shade name so you can purchase it for yourself to have for touch ups on your wedding day.

  • Yes, absolutely! Availability may be limited, as we may have other weddings on the date of your rehearsal. Please reach out as soon as you're ready to book this service and we'll do our best to accommodate you (and your party)!

  • Guests (Mom's, Bridesmaids ect.)- 50-60 minutes per service. Bride- 75-90 minutes. There is a 30 minute "touch up" time added at the very end of the timeline to add lipstick/gloss, take down any shine and do a final setting spray. Please also take into account that artists will be arriving 30 minutes before the first makeup service is to begin to set up lights, chairs, product, and supplies needed for the day. With Covid-19 protocols, there might be the need for extra time to clean/sanitize between clients, depending on CDC, State, and Local guidelines at the time of your event.

TRAVEL & PARKING

  • Yes, we charge a travel fee of $25 per Artist within a 25 mile radius of Burbank, CA, and an additional $.65 (IRS 2023 Standard Mileage Rate) per mile beyond 25, calculated roundtrip.

  • Yes, due to the amount of equipment our team must bring, our clients are responsible for any fees associated with parking. For neighborhood locations, please have parking permits ready for your artist if they are necessary for your area. Please make your hotel aware that you will be paying all valet fees for your artist team ahead of arrival so there are no questions or issues when we leave.

WEDDING DAY

  • On the wedding day, your makeup artist will bring everything they need to service you at your location. The only thing we need is access to electrical outlets and clean table space for set up per hired artist. We highly recommend brides and guests bring their own lipstick for touch ups throughout the day/evening once we have left and finished all services.

  • We will work with you to coordinate a makeup timeline for your wedding day. It's important to speak with your photographer and/or event coordinator to establish what time all services should be done by. Please keep in mind that your "makeup done by" time should not be the same as your "everyone ready for pictures time" as you will need to schedule extra time for robe pictures, changing into dresses, putting on shoes and being out the door. Please plan accordingly and have all information ready so we can create the best timeline that works with your day.

  • Everyone should come with a clean, exfoliated, and moisturized face. There should be no makeup residue left on your face, especially around the eyes. Taking the time to stop and clean off leftover makeup from someone's face will slow down the artist and may lead to not being able to finish a look requested in the scheduled service timeframe.

  • We suggest that everyone use waterproof mascara in black. We will bring mascara with us for use the day of the wedding, but if you or a guest has a preferred mascara they would like to use, please bring it along.

  • For touch-ups, we recommend purchasing a lipstick of your choice/ the decided upon color from your trial. This way you will be able to touch up your lips after the ceremony and throughout your reception. While the makeup we do is long-wearing, you can’t fight mother nature. We provide a small touch-up kit that includes lightly tinted lip gloss and translucent powder on a puff for all services. Anything needed beyond that will need to be provided by the client.
